Paxmeet
A social platform where strangers become friends. Paxmeet lets people discover events happening near them, join or host a plan, and meet others whose identity has actually been checked — house parties, café hangouts, workshops, hikes, gaming nights and study groups.

The problem
Meeting strangers from an app is a trust problem before it is a product problem. Anyone will browse events; far fewer will turn up alone to one, and the reason is almost never the event itself. Every consumer social product also opens cold — an events feed with nothing in it is worth less than no feed at all — so discovery, hosting and safety all have to work from the very first session.
The opening
Resolve the doubt at the point it actually occurs — before someone commits to attending — rather than asking them to take the risk and rate it afterwards. Identity, the guest list and the kind of energy an event has are all knowable in advance, and each one removes a reason to stay home.
How we approached it
- Verify identity against a government source, not an email address
- Show who is already attending before anyone has to commit
- Organise by interest and vibe so the match happens before arrival
- Give hosts real tooling, because supply is what makes a social app work
What we built
- Native-quality iOS and Android apps from one codebase
- Location-aware event discovery, filtered by interest and vibe
- KYC identity verification wired to DigiLocker
- Hosting flow with guest lists, approvals and capacity
- Real-time event chat and interest-based community circles
- In-app purchase of ad tokens for hosts promoting a plan
- Ratings and reviews feeding back into profile trust
Inside the product
Discover events near you
A location-aware feed of meetups, workshops and activities, filtered by the kind of evening you are actually looking for.
Verified, safer connections
Profiles are KYC-verified through DigiLocker, so the person in the feed is the person who turns up.
Guest insights before you join
See who is already attending before committing — the single biggest reason people decide not to go alone.
Join or create any plan
Hosting is a first-class flow, not an afterthought: guest lists, approvals and capacity are built in.
Event chats & communities
Real-time conversation per event, plus interest-based circles that keep a group together between meetups.
Grow & earn with Paxmeet
Hosts can promote a plan using in-app ad tokens, giving the marketplace a supply-side incentive.
What it took
to build.
Government identity verification
DigiLocker integration for KYC — consent flows, document handling and failure states, on a path where a false negative loses a user permanently.
Geospatial discovery
Proximity queries that stay fast as event density varies wildly between a metro on a Friday and a small town midweek.
Real-time at event scale
Chat and attendance that update live per event, without holding an open connection for every room a user has ever joined.
Trust and safety surface
Verification state, ratings, reviews and reporting modelled together, so a safety signal in one place is visible everywhere it matters.
Store-compliant monetisation
In-app purchase of ad tokens across both stores, with server-side receipt validation and a balance users can trust.
One codebase, two platforms
Shipped to iOS and Android together, so a feature lands on both at once rather than one lagging a release behind.
